Itinerary

Day 1

Meet and greet and airport pick up

Pick you up from Prishtina-Adem Jashari international airport (PRN). You will meet with your driver immediately at the exit from airport building. Transfer to Peja town 1h at your 3-star Hotel close to the city center.

Day 2

Peja highlights and White Drin natural park

After breakfast we will visit some of the highlights of Peja-also known with the old name of Siparantum. Orthodox monastery built on top of the ruins from Byzantium time, located at the entrance of famous Rugova Canyon-the main link with old road towards Montenegro. Continue to Old Hamam building from 1487, Ethnological and Archaeological Museum, and continue 11km north from the city towards White Drini complex, where we can visit the biggest waterfall and water spring in the region and Radaci cave with it’s archaeological part and some of the hidden galleries of this natural wonder which was inhabited since the Neolithic time and most probably even before this period of time. Lunch at one of the many restaurants by the river well known for fresh trout and traditional dishes. Before we head to Peja we will stop at the village for a visit of Bërdyna family Water Mill. Back to the hotel in Peja. Free evening. B.L.

Day 3

Kusari Cave & Vllashnje dwellings-ancient saint places

Start the tour at 09.00 and head south 10km from the small city of Gjakova-best known for a hand-made knitting of traditional clothes and as a trade center. Kusarit village is located at the hill on Pashtrik mountain, where the 4 caves are situated and has been known to be inhabited since the ancient time. Very little has been done by Kosova’s Archaeological institute to explore this interesting site. After the visit to the site we will continue further south towards city of Prizren well known as a museum city as it has not been destroyed during the last conflict 25 years ago. At the outskirts of the city there are so called Vllashnje ancient dwellings where there are some cave paintings found in the form of circles. Overnight stay at hotel in city center and free evening. Day 4

Prizren – Museum city

 After breakfast we will climb through a cobbled street stones up to Prizren Castle from Venetian and Ottoman time for some amazing views towards Dukagjini plain. We’ll continue to Old Stone Bridge, Sinan Pasha mosque built with distinctive stones, Catholic cathedral where have been recently discovered some old walls under the new church buildings from 18-th century.  Here we can relax and have a lunch at one of the many restaurants next to the river banks. On the way to Prishtina we’ll stop by Harilaqi castle ruins at Goleshi hill. Overnight stay in Prishtina hotel, close to city center. Free evening. B.L.

Day 5

Prishtina highlights and evening drop off to the airport

After breakfast we will visit Kosova’s National Museum, and head outside the city for to visit the Sultan Murad II tomb and also the museum for the Kosovo battle against Ottomans happened in 15-th century. After this we will visit

Ulpijana archaeological park from Roman time-the biggest archaeological site in the Balkans dated from second century B.C. Lunch at one of the good restaurants close by and afternoon or evening transfer to the airport for your return flight. B.L.

Accommodation

In Peja, Prizren and Prishtina you will stay at 3 star hotel & restaurant fully modern while allowing guests to experience traditional Kosovo atmosphere. All rooms are air-conditioned, equipped with TV, direct phone line, broadband internet, bathroom and toilet.

Meals

We provide breakfast and lunch on all days except your day of arrival.

Lunches will be in one of the best restaurants known for their good food and great location. Drinks and beverages are not included

Vegetarian and special diets will be catered to, but options are limited throughout entire trip. Please inform us of any specific requirements upon booking.

Transportation

We use comfortable Mercedes Sprinter (16+1) or (12+1) depending on the size of the group, and for the mountainous terrain we use 4x4 Land Rover Defenders
